Spur Trail/Three Creeks trail project needs your help

In today's Mercury News: http://www.mercurynews.com/opinion/ci_13184912 [Excerpt] "Community volunteers have been working for years on the dream of converting an abandoned rail line known as the Willow Glen Spur in central San Jose into a linear park and off-road trail. We call it the Three Creeks Trail because it would connect the Los Gatos Creek Trail, the Guadalupe River Trail and the Coyote Creek Trail, crossing the heart of the city from Willow Glen to Kelley Park. The dream springs from the Greenprint, the strategic plan for San Jose's parks. It has the support of local communities and numerous city, county and state elected officials, and it is the very embodiment of Mayor Chuck Reed's Green Vision for a system of interconnected trails." I've been wondering/hoping for a few years that this project would get started. It'd provide an unprecedented ability to go on a long, quality run/excursion just steps away from my door.
