    Lawnmower Repair

We inherited a gas lawnmower last week. Today, I filled it up and primed it and then gas started leaking all over. Does anyone know of a lawn mower repair place that can help?

If you go North on Lincoln there is one on the left just before San Carlos. I had my blade sharpened there and they did a fine job. Not sure if they fix engines, but I think they do.

I think that the blade place on Auzerias does lawn mowers too. Across from Osh.

We talked to a guy at Gardenland on Curtner. I think I'm going to take it apart myself to try to diagnose the problem better so I don't have to pay an arm and a leg for someone to tell me there's a hose with a leak. Hopefully it'll be simple enough I can fix it myself. Wish me luck.

Lawnmower engines are weird beasts. I will tackle a car engine without hesitation but leave the tuning of a lawnmower carb to the pros. I can usually get them running but *keeping* them running at the speed range you need can get tricky.

I don't really need to mess with the carb or anything. Just fix the gas leak. If I can figure out where the leak is, it should be as simple as replacing that part or tightening something.

Yup, that's right. But if not a cracked gas line I have had several instances of leaky carb seals. Which means a strip down and a rebuild kit. And then foolin' with the carb adjustments (serious dark arts). But don't let me discourage you - good luck!

I'd just try putting the gas cap back on before doing wheelies around your lawn and see if that was maybe the original cause of the leak. Missed you at Waddell last weekend, Ryan. I made a surprise appearance, but no Kuder presence...

I wasn't doing wheelies. I was holding the mower upside down above my head trying to mow the bottom side of a tree. But putting the gas cap back on when I do that is a good idea.
