Update on Groceries?
I'm interested in whether any neighbors joining have an update on grocery stores. Recent Press said Fresh and Easy was holding off on new stores http://articles.latimes.com/2009/apr/22/business/fi-fresh-easy22?pg=1 However their website still shows them as future stores http://www.freshandeasy.com/whereweareMaps.aspx?map=GreaterSanJose But that could be lack of updating and I think I've seen for lease signs on the one on Curtner. According to the latest real estate gossip they are still planning on opening the Fresh and Easy in the old Albertsons but are looking for someone to take over the lease on the Safeway at Almaden and Curtner. According to my source they are waiting for funding to get the Sacramento distribution center up and once that's up they'll get rolling quickly. BUT, now word on timing on the distribution center.

I love the idea of hitting them via their Location Suggestion form with a bunch of "Hurry Up on Bird!" messages, but the link you provided is to the thank you page you got when you suggested it. JeeBar, thanks for the corrected linky. After the hideous paint job they've done in that complex, it's the least F&E can do for us.
